The National Curriculum assessments, otherwise known as the Standard Assessment Tests (SATs), can seem like a daunting part of your child’s education. However, if you know what to expect and prepare well they don’t need to be scary for you or your child. At Tutor Up our teachers have significant SATs teaching experience and can provide the support your child will need.

What will my child be tested on ?
Key Stage 2 SATs formally test your child’s maths and English abilities with multiple papers…
- One English reading paper
- Three mathematics papers
- Two English spelling, grammar and punctuation papers
KS2 SATs are conducted under formal exam conditions. The KS2 SATs tests are held on the same dates across the country in May for all children in Year 6.
KS2 SATs are timed. The tests can last up to 45 minutes, which can seem like quite a lot for some children or for others seem a little too less. It is important that your child’s well being is at the forefront during these times, some mindfulness activities, sports or daily walk can help your child through the process.
We aim to support children in approaching their KS2 SATs exams with confidence by helping them develop and enhance their exam skills.
At Tutor Up we:
